Between Toothache and Musical Joy 18. May 2025
This week was quite eventful again.
On May 12th, I was back at the dentist in Schleswig - this time I took the train, though. Michael drove me to Aalborg early in the morning, I got on the train there, and later Traute picked me up. Everything went smoothly, but the dental appointment didn't turn out the way I'd hoped.
Actually, he wanted to seal the tooth right away. But I asked him to place a medicinal filling instead. I'd only just had three days without pain - after everything I've been through these past weeks. And as soon as the new filling was in, the pain started all over again. I really don't know what to think anymore.
But there's something truly wonderful to share:
On Saturday, Michael had his first gig here in Denmark! He played together with Lone and her daughter at the birthday party of Lone's husband.
He's a musician through and through, and this was his first performance here - a real fresh start. I stood outside the door, would have loved to record it, but the door was almost soundproof. I could barely hear anything, but I was cheering him on, feeling excited - and so grateful that everything went so well.
Lone is our near neighbor, she lives just a few houses down and sings with us in the choir. She's such a dear, warm-hearted person - I'm really glad we've become friends.
So despite all the challenges, it was also a week full of bright moments. And for that, I'm grateful.
