Setting Off on a New Adventure September 28, 2023
The car is packed. Everything is done. The last bags, boxes, and suitcases are loaded. After days of preparation and countless to-do lists, I can finally breathe. We made it!
Now we're going to get a bit of rest and recover. The excitement of these past days has taken its toll, but the anticipation keeps me awake. Still, a few hours of sleep before the night drive is exactly what we need right now.
Tonight at midnight, we're off. The highways will be empty, no traffic jams to hold us up. There's something magical about the thought of that dark, quiet drive. The radio host will speak in a soft voice, as if he's only there for the few night owls on the roads.
And wonderfully, the hit parade from the "glass studio" is on right now.
If all goes as planned, we'll arrive tomorrow at noon, right on time at 2:00 PM for the key handover. A new chapter begins! My heart is racing when I think about unlocking the door to our new home for the first time.
The suitcases can wait. The first thing we'll do is go to the window to take in the view that will soon become part of our daily life.
But for now: close my eyes and gather strength for the adventure ahead.
