These Tuesdays...

Weekly trips to physical therapy in Aalborg are exhausting, especially when you don't really feel heard by your doctor.

These Tuesdays... 30. July 2024

These Tuesdays often push me to my limits.

Every week – or at least every other week – I drive to Aalborg for physical therapy. An hour of treatment, 80 kilometers each way. The whole thing was prescribed by the specialist at the university hospital, so it's official, important, necessary. But it's also exhausting.

Of course, I try to make the best of it. I combine the day with some nice shopping, a café visit, or a little stroll through the city. Still, this Tuesday remains a real challenge.

What's been on my mind: I already mentioned two months ago that my right arm is giving me increasing problems – probably because it has to compensate too much for my injured left elbow. But nobody really seems to care. The focus remains solely on the left arm, where the ligaments tore in my accident.

It's a strange feeling when you don't really feel heard.

I wish I could do the therapy here in town. But according to the Danish health system, that's not possible.

So I keep going, keep driving – even when it feels like too much sometimes.

It's a strange feeling when you don't really feel heard.
