A Coming and Going 4th July 2024
It was truly a wonderful week.
We had just said goodbye to Peter, Susanne and Eugen, who were heading back to Germany after visiting us, when the next guests suddenly appeared at our door: Anke and Thomas.
The fun part is that we had actually accompanied Peter, Susanne and Eugen to Sweden first - a little shared adventure. From there they continued on, and we made our way back home on the night ferry.
Two days later, Thomas and Anke arrived - on the same ship, but coming from the other direction. They too were on a little tour, but approaching Scandinavia from the other side.
We spent another three beautiful days together. Time for conversations, shared meals, laughter, memories.
And today they're on their way back to Germany too.
It was a coming and going - but the kind that warms your heart. Such encounters give us the feeling of being connected. Even across borders.
